I am currently working as a digital designer for the Daily Mail Plus, an exciting new iPad and Android application being launched 2012/2013.
Working with Adobe DPS (Digital Publishing Suite) and InDesign to create an interactive iPad app. I look forward to the launch!

Live Magazine Placement - 2 weeks
19/08 issue - The Sweeney
My second week at Live Mag I got to work on a lot more things and I even got the opportunity to design a double page spread! This was exciting and I was so happy that my final design got used for the Beatles Spread, as well as the Lizzie Armistead spread! I loved seeing my work in the magazine and being able to say to people ‘I did that’. Again I worked on the fashion strip, a drive talk strip, Tom and Olly for the food & wine page and the TV guide.
I would like to say thank you to Live Magazine for this opportunity and that I have gained lots of valuable work for my portfolio.
Live Magazine Placement - 2 weeks
I have recently just finished a 2 week placement at Live Magazine - Daily Mail in London. I had an amazing experience there and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! I got to work on their weekly magazine that you get in ‘The Mail On Sunday’ and as you can see I have some of my design layouts in a couple of the issues.
12/08 issue - Clive Owen
In my first week I was given simple tasks such as fashion strips. I designed the Desert Boot fashion strip that you can see above and I also prepared fashion strips for a couple of future issues (you will see in my next post). I worked on the TV Guide placing images that I thought was appropriate for the program description given.
Even though I didn’t do much in this issue, it was still exciting to see the designs I worked on printed in a Magazine that anybody could go to the shop and buy! Check out my next post for more of my work at Live Mag.

Vivid Internship
Recently I have been at the ‘Vivid’ studio in Manchester as I got myself a place on the Vivid Summer Camp 2012! This was a great experience of what it is like to work in the design industry. Although the placement was only 1 week, I worked on 2 live briefs and 1 in-house poster design brief, so as you can imagine it was busy busy and exciting stuff! My first impressions of the studio was very cool, I loved the traditional bricks and the arched roof! The Vivid team were extremely nice, very helpful and welcoming, (Abi is very cute as well!). I look forward to the Poster competition gathering later on in the year :)

Degree Results
Yesterday I received a very exciting email.
Yes I am graduating with a 1st Class Honours Degree!
A great feeling that all my hard work over the last three years has paid off. I graduate 4th July 2012.

Graduate Show - Infectious 2012
Here are a few pictures of my final year exhibition - Infectious. The exhibition was themed around pixels and the idea of things coming away from each other and expanding into something else.
